Held in Early May every year, Towers and Tales is a delightful festival for children of every age. Our dream is to give young audiences unforgettable, creative and transformational experiences with books, reading, storytelling and drawing that will stay with them for years to come.
Come along — there will be stories for babies, glow-in-the-dark and teddy-bear doodles, teen poetry slams and family sketch crawls. Create a masterpiece at the Inspiration Station, a poem at the Poetry Corner or swap a book at the Book Emporium.
Soak up the atmosphere as stories take over the town, pop along to the many free events, create a character on The Big Picture Wall, get a book prescription from the Children's Books Ireland Book Doctors and don't forget to say hello to the Pilgrims, Princesses and Beardy Old Men in our very special illustration exhibition by PJ Lynch.
We believe that stories should be for everyone, every day, so every young visitor who buys a ticket will be given a book to take home and treasure.
