Here we can tell you about the Copper Coast and its history, heritage and geology. You can have a cup of coffee and a chat; wander around our exhibition, which looks at the mining that used to happen here, our geology and some of the interesting people who passed through the Copper Coast in times past. We have a short evocative movie, made locally, which tells the story of a day in the life of a miner’s family – with a mysterious ending! There is a seismometer in the old vestry. This follows and records seismic activity around the globe as it happens – earthquakes, volcanoes and even the occasional nuclear test. Fascinating to young and old alike.Our exhibition changes and develops regularly. It will usually relate to mining and geological heritage, but we hope, sometimes, to host visiting exhibitions as they become available.
