The Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre is currently open Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 5pm.
Located in a restored 19th century church, the Geopark Visitor Centre contains a local mining and environmental heritage exhibition, walking trail guides and leaflets as well as a high quality cafe.
The Cafe serves locally made soups, sandwiches and sweet bites as well as Copper Coast Roast coffee and there is also a local craft shop selling high quality Copper Coast and Waterford food and craft products.
The visitor centre exhibition is free to enter and tells the story of the history of the area, much of it related to the copper-mining years around Bunmahon, but also about local artists and personalities and, of course, about geology.
Opening times (winter) – 11.00 am – 5.00 pm
