The Moorings is a friendly bar and restaurant steeped in maritime history, and situated right beside the 12th Century King John’s Castle, on the picturesque quayside in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Here, locals and visitors alike enjoy top quality drinks, stunning bar and a la carte menus and genuinely friendly service in this family run business.
Our rustic nautically themed bar provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere, the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks and chat with the locals. The bar boasts a full range of beverages and bar food is served all day. Our lounge is designed to resemble the bow of a ship, and features portholes salvaged from local wrecks and various other nautical memorabilia.
At The Moorings one can avail of a bar food menu, or our A La Carte menu, which is served in the restaurant. We also have a daily lunch menu available between 1pm and 3pm. For informal dining our bar food menu is perfect. We have a choice of freshly prepared dishes available every day.
Enjoy a meal in our restaurant, with a fully stocked wine bar and food to satisfy all tastes. Our a la carte menu specialises in locally caught sea and shellfish sourced from both Helvick and Ballycotton, as well as a range of other dishes. We only use fresh produce.
